Slacker

Well, I’m in finals mode. Excuse me for this week.

I am finished with five years of college and two degrees next Wednesday.

Job update: I accepted the job, officially. I’m employed!

Oh, and Joceline? I’m frequently sweaty, too. This humid/sunny/thunderstorm weather? Not helping.

See everyone on the flip side, aka end of finals.

Responsible Adult

Last night, I was Superwoman. I went grocery shopping and filled up the car with discounted gas, got Jamba Juice and made homemade chicken noodle soup for my sick husband (if you know my history as a cook, you know this is a big deal), did 2 loads of laundry, posted fliers on a bajillion doors for a church activity, and cleaned the kitchen. Oh, and I won 3/3 rounds of Monopoly Deal.

It was kind of like this (found courtesy of Denise):

And so on and so forth.

Today, I think husband’s virus might be catching up to me, because I feel more like this:

responsible adult

Or maybe it’s just that I’m still working on the responsible adult thing.  Either way, here I sit — listening to the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack and blogging.

Yup, real responsible.

Slacker

Maybe next week I should write about being a Procrastinator.   I know I should get these blog posts written the day before I’m supposed to write (Mondays), but I never seem to plan ahead like that.  So, in lieu of a long label post, I’ll post a few pictures to let you all know what I’ve been up to this holiday week.

Cookie baking with friends at Emily's Annual Christmas cookie party.

Melty peanut butter cup cookies.

Sleepy girl cousins with our grandfather on Christmas morning.

Lots of Christmas knitting, this being my fifth hat this break (and 21st hat since knitting season started in October).

Carving a 'J' into a tree with my friend and his little sister (all of our names start with J). Yes, I know I am being a terrible tree hugger! Carving things into tree bark is truly bad for trees! But this particular one was covered in bark graffitti so we thought one little J wouldn't hurt.

Back to regular programming tomorrow with Lauren.
